Obviously way behind on updating, but better late than never!
We had a lovely Christmas this year, albeit different and without family, but very nice. Since we didn't bring our own Christmas decorations, several family members sent us ornaments, candles, beautiful cards and gifts! We got our tree from a Facebook yardsale page here and though we would have preferred a real tree (which they don't sell here), we thought ours turned out great :)

We woke up and exchanged gifts with each other, and then called family to celebrate with them as well. Here's a few pictures of our goodies!
After our morning of exchanging gifts and talking to family, we started making Ray's famous red sauce for pasta! We did an Italian Christmas dinner and invited over some guys from work. I of course forgot to get out the camera, but we enjoyed having 12 people over, eating and playing games all night. We were thankful to have a place to provide a fun evening for those who don't have their families with them.
While we didn't have a white Christmas, we did have a white day-after-Christmas! Ever since then it's been COLD! We are in the 20's most days, and usually when I drive to work in the mornings it's in the single digits!

From what we've heard, the weather should start warming up towards the end of February/beginning of March. I for one cannot wait!
